Dr. Arun Pulikkottil Jose is Head of the BRIDGE Centre for Digital Health at the Centre for Chronic Disease Control, New Delhi. Dr Jose is a physician and has done his MD in Community Medicine. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management of Reproductive and Child Health Programmes from the IIPH and UNICEF, and is currently pursuing his PhD in Translational Research at Maastricht University, Netherlands.
Prior to this, he was the Deputy Director of the Centre for Digital Health at the Public Health Foundation of India. Dr Jose currently leads various digital health initiatives at the BRIDGE Centre for Digital Health. This includes an innovative assisted telemedicine initiative – Digisahayam – being implemented in various parts of India, and numerous digital education programs for health professionals in India. He is an ardent advocate for equity in healthcare, particularly digital health equity, and currently leads several initiatives in this regard. He was the Deputy Chair of the South & West Asia, Middle East Regional Advisory Group of the International Society of Hypertension from 2018-20 and has been country leader for the society’s May Measurement Month initiative that has screened over 4.7 million for raised BP across the world and approximately 900,000 individuals in India. He is a mentor and trainer for various initiatives including the Online Course for Accelerating NCD Service Delivery in the WHO South-East Asia Region by WHO-SEARO. He is a member of the Medical Value Travel Services and Wellness Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards, Government of India and a member of the Telehealth Accreditation Program Committee, Quality and Accreditation Institute. He is an Executive Council Member and Communications Officer of the International Society for Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention.
Dr. Jose was awarded the NIH funded Global Public Health Leader fellowship at the Rollin’s School of Public Health, Emory University in 2016. He is a fellow of the International Society for Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology and Prevention, and the World Heart Federation’s Emerging Leaders program. He has numerous peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals, and has contributed book chapters in various textbooks.Delores focuses on later-stage and growth-stage investments, particularly in the industrial-technology sector.
He is currently involved with Battery’s investment in Audio Precision; Physical Property Testing (PPT), a platform created with James Heal and Mecmesin; Process Sensing Technologies, a platform company created with Analytical Industries, Dynament, LDetek, Michell Instruments, NTRON, Rotronic and Status Scientific; Robotiq; and TTP Labtech.
