Digital Health Advocacy

As a committed public health organization, we believe that health advocacy is not just a responsibility, but a privilege. At BRIDGE Centre, we take pride in leveraging our expertise and resources to create powerful campaigns and initiatives that drive positive health outcomes for individuals and communities alike. We are dedicated to empowering individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing, and to creating a world where health equity is a reality for all. Listed below are some of our most recent health advocacy initiatives. The overarching objective being raising awareness regarding raised blood pressure and the ways for its prevention amongst the public as well as the physician community.

May Measurement Month 2023

The “May Measurement Month 2023” is a global initiative that aims to measure blood pressure of 1 million individuals from around the world, the largest blood pressure measurement campaign in history. The initiative was launched by the International Society of Hypertension (ISH) in 2017, and since then, it has been conducted annually in various countries worldwide.

In the past five editions of the initiative, we have screened over 1 million individuals in India and over 4 million individuals globally and have received overwhelming support from campaign partners and various other volunteer organizations, institutes, medical colleges, hospitals, students from different universities, and doctors.

Our campaign aims to have a significant impact on the health of our community. By raising awareness about the risks of high blood pressure and providing access to blood pressure measurement. We hope to prevent long-term health complications, such as heart disease and stroke by identifying undiagnosed hypertension and providing guidance on healthy lifestyle.Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast

  • Screen at least 1 Lakh individuals during the campaign period for undiagnosed hypertension.
  • Provide education to individuals about lifestyle changes that can help prevent and manage high blood pressure

Progress so far:

In May 2023, India witnessed a multitude of May Measurement Month camps that left a lasting impact. These engaging activities were held at diverse locations throughout the month, showcasing the joint efforts of our volunteers and the patients who came in to be screened. The vivid visuals captured in our photo collection serve as a reminder of the positive change we strive to create in the field of hypertension awareness.

Continuing our mission, we are thrilled to announce that this campaign will be carried forward into the months of June and July. With unwavering dedication, we will extend our reach to even more communities, expanding the impact and making a difference in the lives of those affected by hypertension. Stay tuned for further updates as we embark on this continued journey of raising awareness and promoting a healthier future for all.
