BRIDGE CENTRE FOR DIGITAL HEALTH

CCDC established a Centre for BRidging Inequities in DiGital HEalth (BRIDGE Centre for Digital Health) in the year 2022 to facilitate the harmonization of its research initiatives currently undertaken and advance new and potentially transformational initiatives across the CCDC universe. The unit addresses the growing challenge of chronic diseases, in varied settings and strives to lead the nation’s effort in transforming healthcare.

It aims to bring together players in the public and private sectors as well as civil society organizations. CCDC’s evidence-based, insightful research that is regional in perspective and global in outlook, combined with committed professionals of multi-disciplinary expertise, is the backbone of this centre. It is an intersection between CCDC’s research, training and knowledge of public health and the network of partners who are technology leaders. This Centre of Excellence will work towards ensuring equity in digital healthcare, with a special focus on Chronic Conditions.

Mission:

  • Identify and develop solutions that promote equity in Digital Health
  • Be the voice for issues that relate to digital health inequity and advocate equitable solutions to achieve universal health coverage
  • Assist solution developers in taking into consideration the equity lens during design, development and scale-up

Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC)

The Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) is leading efforts to reduce the burden of chronic diseases in India and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) while promoting innovative scientific solutions.

Founded in 2000, CCDC is a non-profit organization passionate about advancing research on chronic diseases. Our research is grounded in science and powered by technology, helping shape effective policies and programs for preventing and managing chronic diseases. CCDC is also committed to closing the gap between research and practical implementation through various capacity-building initiatives that enhance the skills of public healthcare professionals. CCDC is striving to transform lives and healthcare systems in India and LMICs.

CCDC has been awarded the Indian Council of Medical Research grant in 2024 to establish the CAR for RAHAT.  Through this centre, CCDC aims to create a scalable, sustainable and equitable transformative rural model to improve quality of healthcare service delivery across five Indian states by strengthening capacity of medical institutes and leveraging digital technology.
